Field Testing Catches Non-Compliant Gymnastic Surface

Indoor courts, running tracks and playground surfaces are often sold based on the performance of a single sample under laboratory settings. For countless reasons that sample may no longer accurately reflect the product being sold and installed. Without rigorous field testing to verify performance there is no way to know that your surface performs properly.

Here is a link to an example where gymnastic mats were found to be non-compliant just prior to the match. New mats were sourced to ensure the ones that were used complied with the impact standards. Something to note: the mats were found to be using a different foam just 2 years after the product had been tested in the lab.
